Want to join one of the leading architectural firms in the world while gaining practical and commercial experience next to your studies? BIG is currently looking for a talented, motivated, and ambitious legal student assistant to support our Copenhagen Legal Team.
As Legal Student Assistant you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Contracts, Risks and Project Commercials and in-house Legal Advisor on an ad hoc basis in maintaining and developing varies contract templates, reviewing and drafting various agreements such as sub-consultant agreements, non-disclosure agreements, letter of intents etc. as well conduct legal research within primarily contract and construction law as well as assist in varies administration legal tasks. You will also assist in conducting internal training of our staff, drafting memos, etc.
BIG have many projects in various parts of the world and the job will offer a unique opportunity to learn more about contract and construction law globally.

Primary areas of responsibility:

  • Supporting on an ad-hoc basis within various legal aspects
  • Maintaining and developing varies contract templates within our contract management system
  • Preparing, reviewing, and editing various agreements
  • Checking for quality, format, accuracy, and continuity
  • Assist on potential claims handling, including claims reporting

The ideal candidate:

  • Holds a Bachelor of Law (BA.jur.) or a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Business Administration and Commercial Laws (HA.jur.)
  • Preferable experienced in the construction, architecture or engineering industry and is familiar with ABR89/ABR18/AB92/AB18 or consultancy contracts in general
  • Strong interest in architecture, construction, and the creative processes
  • Is organized, structured and both big-picture-savvy and detail-oriented
  • Is proactive and completes tasks with a sense of urgency, capable of multi-tasking responsibilities that often vary in scale and scope
  • Feels that no administrative task is too little or too great
  • Speaks Danish & English fluently, and is incredibly professional on the phone, in e-mails and in person; other languages, French, Mandarin etc is a bonus
  • Able to work 15-20 hours per week with flexibility around exams.
